The Intentional Guide to Branding Your Social Media Presence
By now, you’re probably deep into your weekly to-do list, client projects, content creation and everything else that comes with running a business. I love the start of a week because it can bring a fresh perspective, like a reset button to our businesses. The beginning of the week can be so inspiring when we focus on the main goal of our businesses: connecting with a like-minded audience and making an impact. And of course, building a sustainable lifestyle for ourselves along the way!
Speaking of connecting with your audience, there are so many opportunities in your business to do just that. Social media is one of the best ways to get fresh eyes on your business and share your mission.
This week, I encourage you to view social media as an extension of your brand. A place to keep building brand recognition and that visual identity, which will help you attract your dreamy ideal audience.
Here are 3 of my favorite, intentional ways to brand yourself on social media.
01. Use your brand colors
Consistency is key here. There are so many places to infuse your brand colors into your social profiles. Building your authentic brand is a balance between consistency and leaving yourself room to play. Sticking to a general color palette can help take away some of the stress that comes with content creation, while staying on brand. A few places you can use brand colors:
Your profile photo
In your photos themselves (keep your colors consistent through editing)
02. Use branded announcements, content, and launch graphics
Running a business means sometimes you have info to share with your community! Whether you’re launching a new service, promoting a blog posts, hosting a giveaway or just sharing an inspirational quote. This is a great opportunity to design an on-brand graphic that catches the attention of your community.
Think about the times you’ve stopped to read a quote or info in Stories. It’s likely because of the design that caught your eye. Stick to your brand style but make it fresh.
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I believe in holistic brands. That means: your brand is more than a pretty logo. It’s a story, an experience and a lifestyle for your ideal audience. With that in mind, a big part of infusing your brand into social media is through your captions! Use captions as a place to share your brand’s personality and style. Keep a few brand buzz words in mind as you write and, as always, think about who it is that you’re trying to connect with.
As always, building a sustainable, impactful business is so important to me. And if you’re following along with Reux Design Co., it’s probably important to you too.
And I truly believe that all of us have the ability to build a business and life we love, one that fit our unique vision of success.
This week is going to be a good one for your business, friend. I believe it!
